His graduation essay titled “Crisis Proofing Education: Future Internet Technologies for System Resilience.” Under the school’s sub-theme “Internet Technologies for the Future,” explored how emerging technologies can be leveraged to safeguard education systems and mitigate disruptions to learning during emergencies. An early-career technology and innovation strategist, Aaron’s interests lie at the intersection of internet governance, technology policy, and strategic foresight.
His research focuses on internet fragmentation, the governance of emerging technologies, and the use of future thinking in technology policy and management. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Science, Technology, and Innovation Management and Policy at HSE University, Moscow, where he also works at the International Research and Educational Foresight Center within the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK). There, he carries out research on the sustainable development of science and technology.
Aaron is actively involved in the global internet governance community. He is a member of the AI Research team at the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), an ICANN83 NextGen fellow, a Policy Research Fellow with Digispace Africa, and a contributor to the UN Internet Governance Forum’s Policy Network on Internet
Fragmentation (PNIF) and the Youth Coalition on Internet Governance (YCIG).
He also serves in the ICANN At-Large Consolidated Policy Working Group and is a member of the Non-Commercial Stakeholders Group (NCSG) within the ICANN community, as well as the UN IGF Youth Working Group. Beyond his research and policy engagements, Aaron has over four years of experience designing and managing digital development and literacy programs in Nigeria. Through these projects, he worked with young people and underserved communities to expand access to education and digital opportunities, further shaping his interest in inclusive technology policy and governance. Through these academic, professional, and community engagements, he has deepened his expertise in policy research, futures methodologies, and impact evaluation, while contributing to dialogues on shaping an open, resilient, and inclusive digital future.
